North of Firing Line |
North of Firing Line
The area
north of the firing line (also referred to as the Northern Firing Range Area)
includes approximately 51,000 acres.
The U.S. Army is proceeding cautiously on intrusive studies of this area because of the potential safety hazards and high costs of investigations and related cleanup activities. The Army's future plans will be consistent with the proposed munitions cleanup (See Range Rule).
