Oakdale School
The
Oakdale School, built in 1869, is one of the few remaining one-room
schoolhouses in the local area. Classes were held at the Oakdale
School until February 1941.
This school, located just north of the firing line, is constructed of limestone masonry. It is an excellent example of an intact architectural building. The Oakdale School was placed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in May 1993.
