5 Year Renewable Possession Only License Amendment Request

From 1941 to 1994, ordnance testing of conventional weapons was conducted at JPG. In 1984, JPG conducted accuracy test firing of tank penetrator rounds containing depleted uranium (DU) under a Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) License, Number SUB-1435.
Accuracy testing occurred north of the firing line in support of a research and development program to develop armor defeating kinetic energy weapons.
The Army is in the process of terminating this license with the NRC.
If you have any comments or questions about JPG's DU testing program or license termination process, please contact the U.S. Army jpgsitecomments@cbdcomemh1.apgea.army.mil
